Overview
Minimum Pressure Check Valves are installed downstream from the air/oil separator and serve two main functions. The start-up valve stays closed up to a preset level and then opens to maintain a minimum pressure in the air/oil separator. This assures pressure for lubricating the compressor, reduces oil foaming, and protects the separator element. At shut-down, the check valve closes to prevent backflow through the compressor.
