Overview
The function of Sullair oil filter:
The oil filter is used to filter out the impurities in the lubricating oil to ensure that the clean lubricating oil enters the working cavity of the main engine and each lubrication point. If the lubricating oil contains impurities, it will cause the wear of the rotor profile, gear meshing surface and bearings, and reduce the life of the compressor. The filter element of the oil filter should be replaced regularly to ensure the smooth flow of the oil path. There is a differential pressure sensor on the top of the oil filter. When the pressure difference before and after the filter element exceeds the set pressure (0.14MPa), the monitor panel will display a maintenance signal (OIL FILTER MAINT REQD) to remind the unit operator to replace the filter element in time.

Maintenance of Sullair oil filter
When the monitor sends out the maintenance signal of the oil filter (△P2 light flashes on the panel), the operator should maintain the oil filter and replace the filter element in time. Maintenance worker should pay attention to the following steps.
Follow the steps below for replacing the oil filter
1. Use a strap wrench to remove the filter element and O-ring.
2. Clean the sealing surface.
3. Put a layer of clean compressor oil on the O-ring of the new filter element.
4. Replace and tighten the new filter element.
5. Turn on the machine and check whether there is oil leakage.
Note that the filter element is Sullair and cannot be replaced by other products. The filter element can only be replaced, not cleaned.

(2) ΔP2 alarm, the pressure difference exceeds 20psig (1.4bar).
