Overview
The Sullair check valve, ie one way valve, is an important control element on the air compressor exhaust system. Its main function is to initially establish the system pressure when the air compressor starts to ensure the normal circulating supply of air compressor oil; when the system pressure exceeds the set value, it will open the valve to discharge the air to the outside; when the air compressor is unloaded, the pressure valve flap will fall back, cutting off the passage between the compressed air pipeline and the air tank, and acting as a one-way valve.
The check valve is an important part of the control piping system. The check valve is a control device installed on the oil return pipe. Its main function is to guide the direction of the control gas and prevent the lubricating oil from returning to the inside of the filter element from the machine head during shutdown, which will cause recurrence. When the machine is turned on, the exhaust gas is filled with oil to ensure the normal operation of the air control system. The Sullair check valve is a ball structure. When the forward airflow flows, the control channel is opened, and the control gas opens the corresponding valve according to the program. When the airflow direction is opposite, the check valve cuts off the original passage and opens a new control channel to ensure that the control program will not be confused. The check valve can not only prevent the lubricating oil from returning to the inside of the filter element when the machine is stopped, causing the exhaust to carry oil when restarting, but also realize the unloading control of the compressor by preventing the compressed air in the compressed air pipe network from flowing into the compressor.
Precautions for Sullair Check Valves
1. If the check valve is blocked, it may cause overload of the motor or increase the exhaust resistance of the whole machine;
2. The check valve should be cleaned and inspected every 4000 hours or half a year;
3. The check valve should be inspected and maintained every 8000 hours.
How to Replace the Sullair Check valve?
1. Remove the check valve assembly and spring from the valve body;
2. A new check valve spring is built into the piston, and then the check valve assembly is installed;
3. Before turning on again, clean the oil return pipe filter, orifice and check valve.
