Atlas Copco couplings are divided into disc type and coupling type. Because the coupling needs to transmit a large torsion and alternating force, its performance directly affects the efficiency and life of the air compressor. Installation of Atlas Copco coupling
1. Before the coupling is installed, the hole and shaft surface must be cleaned, and there must be no dust, anti-rust paint, etc. The key must fit accurately into the keyway on the shaft and hub. The side of the key should meet the required fit, with a small gap at the top. In order to maintain dynamic balance, the key should fit right into the keyway, not too short or too long.
2. The shaft end must not protrude from the mounting plate. If necessary, limit blocks can be used to limit the gap between the mounting plate and the shaft shoulder. It can be axially fixed with shaft end nuts or end plates.
3. There is a transitional fit between the shaft and the hole, and the mounting plate can be heated appropriately, and lubricating oil can be applied to the shaft.
4. After the assembly is completed, the mounting plate needs to be aligned. The outer circle and end surface of the mounting plate can be detected by a dial indicator. The runout of the outer circle and end surface should not be greater than 0.05mm, and the outer diameter is greater than 250mm or the taper hole is matched. For the mounting plate, the end face runout is allowed to be 0.08mm under extreme conditions. If it exceeds the above value, it means that the installation disk has not been installed correctly. Find out the reason and reinstall it.
