Overview
1. The role of Atlas Copco cooler:
According to the different heat exchange media,Atlas Copco coolers are divided into water-cooled and air-cooled. Due to the inconvenience of external cooling water sources, mobile machines are usually equipped with integrated coolers with both water storage and cooling functions, commonly known as water tanks.
Sullair cooler is also called heat exchanger. Its main function is to dissipate the heat generated during the operation of Sullair air compressor through the heat exchange between the media, so as to reduce the operating temperature of the air compressor and ensure the long-term operation of the main components. The purpose of trouble-free operation. At the same time, after the compressed air saturated with moisture is cooled, some of the moisture will be condensed and discharged from the trap, and the quality of the compressed air will be improved.
2. Working principle of Atlas Copco cooler
The flow of Sullair air compressor oil is driven by the pressure difference in the system and flows from the separator tank to the main compressor. When the oil temperature is lower than 77℃, the temperature control valve is closed, and the oil flows directly through the oil filter without passing through the Sullair cooler, and reaches the operating points of the main engine. As the heat generated by the compression process is absorbed, the oil temperature gradually rises. When the oil temperature is higher than 77°C (88°C 24KT model), the temperature control valve starts to open, and part of the oil flows through the Air cooler and then to the main engine through the oil filter.
3. Maintenance of Atlas Copco Cooler
When oil, grease, dust and dirt accumulate on the surface of the Sullair cooler, the heat exchange effect of the cooler will be weakened, resulting in excessive exhaust temperature. Every half month, use vacuum cleaner, cleaning fluid or low pressure compressed air to clean the outer surface of Sullair cooler. When the ambient temperature is low or the humidity is high, the condensed water of the aftercooler should be discharged frequently. When the temperature is lower than 0°C, the condensed water in the aftercooler must be drained every day.
