Atlas Copco’s GA VSD+ series has revolutionized the general industrial field. Compared with fixed-speed compressors, GA 7-75 VSD+ variable speed drive compressors can reduce energy consumption by up to 50% on average. At the same time, thanks to the design of the vertical drive system, it has higher performance, lower operating noise (as low as 62 dB(A)) and a smaller footprint. The core of GA VSD+ is the internal permanent magnet motor, which is directly connected to Atlas Copco’s first-class screw rotor: all designed independently by Atlas Copco and patent pending. Highest reliability-GA VSD+ has passed extensive field tests to prove its reliability. The transmission system is fully enclosed. The oil cools the rotor, bearing and motor at the same time. Excellent energy saving-Atlas Copco’s GA VSD+ can automatically adjust the motor speed to fully meet your needs for compressed air. The use of this technology in conjunction with iPM permanent magnet motors (efficiency equivalent to IE4) can reduce energy consumption by 50% and compressor life cycle costs by 37% on average. In addition, new and more efficient fans may save up to 7% of compressor power.
In addition to energy saving, GA VSD+ can increase air displacement (FAD) by up to 12%. The design of the motor and transmission system is protected by a patent pending.
Integrated air system-GA VSD+ has a compact design, and its footprint is less than half of the existing GA VSD. Thanks to a noiseless motor and a fully enclosed transmission system, the operating noise of the compressor is only 62 dB(A). Thanks to the intelligent design, all maintenance parts are easy to disassemble and the compressor can be installed near the wall or even in the corner.
Advanced control and monitoring-Elektronikon® controls the drive motor and adjusts the pressure of the system within a preset narrow pressure band, which can maximize the efficiency and reliability of the compressor. Elektronikon® controllers can meet your specific needs through optional sensors, digital contacts, fieldbus, Ethernet and SMS communication functions. If combined with ES’s multiple compressor central controllers, the operation of the entire compressor unit in the station can be optimized.
